DANIEL J. PACKARD

DANIEL J. PACKARD

Packard Advisory Services is truly a family business. Danny began his career working with his dad, Chris, rescuing families facing the high cost of nursing home care, saving them thousands of dollars.

“It quickly became apparent that many of these people never had a retirement plan, an investment plan, or any kind of financial plan, no less an end-of-life plan,” says Danny. “Even though these families at one time had money, they were left destitute and desperate for answers.”

It was then Danny made the commitment to help clients create a worry-free retirement, helping to alleviate their financial concerns and feel comfortable, confident, and in control of their wealth.

Danny and his father, Chris, teamed up again developing Packard Advisory to expand their financial planning services. Danny heads up the advisory services while Chris continues the long-term care crisis planning.

Danny has a bachelor’s degree in business finance and is a licensed Investment Advisor Representative. Danny and his wife have been married for 20 years and are the proud parents of three boys. In his spare time, he enjoys refereeing college and high school basketball and coaching youth sports.

R. CHRIS PACKARD

Chris started his investment career in 1987 as a stockbroker with Dean Witter brokerage firm. He later became a partner at another firm which opened the doors to financial planning.  While there, Chris became interested in the plight of those caught in the financial devastation of long-term care. “I changed course and learned how to use Medi-Cal benefits to help people save thousands of dollars a month on nursing home costs,” says Chris. “I felt like Superman coming in and saving the day.”

With a great desire to help others, Chris ventured into his own business and opened Packard Senior Services. Danny, his oldest son, later joined and, in 2009, became a partner.  Chris has become a leading expert in Medi-Cal approval for Long-Term Care benefits. “There is a lot of misinformation out there and most people do not believe they can qualify. We help families secure what they have spent a lifetime saving which would otherwise be lost to long-term care.”

Chris and his wife, Dianna, have been married 45 years and have 10 children and 31 grandchildren. They love having most of them over for monthly Sunday dinners. Chris and Dianna are involved with the Old Town San Diego Foundation which finances the Old Town 4th grade living history field trips. Chris is currently a volunteer teacher for a weekly adult religion class.
